😮 Why so many drivers misunderstand it
Even though this symbol is common, many drivers misinterpret it because:
- It looks like a warning light
- It appears without explanation in some vehicles
- It is rarely explained in driving lessons
- The icon design is not very intuitive
As a result, people often assume:
- Something is wrong with the engine
- The air system is malfunctioning
- It is an emergency indicator
But in reality, it is simply an airflow control indicator, not a fault warning.

Your car alternates between two air modes:

- Reuses air already inside the car
- Cools faster in hot weather
